Onion Bhaji

For Bhaji

Ingredient

onions sliced 3-4 pc

Batter

chickpea flour 50 g
plain flour 50 g

cumin 1 tsp 
garam masala 1 tsp 
chilli powder 1 tsp 
onion seeds 1 tsp
salt 1 tsp 
white pepper 0.5 tsp 

minced garlic 4 cloves
minced ginger 1 tbsp 
chopped green chilli 0.5 pc
chopped coriander 1 handful

cold water 100 ml 

For Chutney

Ingredient

mint 1 handful 
coriander 1 handful
green chilli 1 pc
garlic 3 cloves
cumin 1 tsp
ginger 5 g
lemon juice 1 squeeze
water a bit
salt to taste

Oil for frying

Directions

  • Mix the batter to a thick and sticky paste

  • Add the sliced onions and coat well with the batter mix

  • Blend all the chutney ingredients season to taste with salt and lemon

  • Heat the oil to 170c and fry heaped tablespoons of the Bhaji mix for 7-8 mins until golden crispy
