Sweet Chilli Sauce

For Sweet Chilli Sauce

Ingredient

caster sugar 100 g
water 100 ml
rice vinegar 50 ml
minced garlic 4 cloves 
chilli flakes 2 tbsp
chilli powder 1 tbsp
dark soy sauce 1 tbsp
fish sauce 1 tbsp
cornflour 1 heaped tbsp

Directions

  • Melt the sugar in the water, add the vinegar and garlic on medium heat 

  • Add the chilli flakes and powder

  • Season with soy and fish sauce

  • Thicken using the cornflour mixed with cold water

  • 1 pound=16 ounces=453 g ; 1 tablespoon=15 g ; 1 teaspoon=5 g
  • Sauce can be stored in a fridge for up to 3 months
