Halloumi Fries

For Halloumi Fries

Ingredient

halloumi 300 g

Coating

plain flour 50 g
cornflour/starch 50 g
garlic powder 1 tbsp
smoked paprika 1 tbsp
chilli powder 0.5-1 tbsp

Others

oil for frying

For Mayo

Ingredient

mayo 6 tbsp
French’s mustard 1 tbsp
Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp
chopped chives 1 handful
lemon juice 1 squeeze 

Directions

  • Cut halloumi into fries

  • Mix the mayo ingredient to make a dip

  • Mix the spices into the flours and coat the halloumi fries

  • Heat oil to 175c and fry for 3-4 mins until golden crispy

  • Serve with the dip

  • 1 pound=16 ounces=453 g ; 1 tablespoon=15 g ; 1 teaspoon=5 g
  • Halloumi: a semi-soft cheese made from a mixture of goat and sheep’s milk
