For Halloumi

Ingredient

460 g halloumi 2 blocks 

Coating

cornflour 4 tbsp
chilli powder 1 tsp
smoked paprika 1 tsp
garlic powder 1 tsp
onion powder 1 tsp

Others

oil for frying

For Spiced Ketchup

Ingredient

tomato purée 4 tbsp
glucose syrup 3 tbsp
water 100 ml
cider vinegar 100 ml
light brown sugar 4 tbsp
salt 1 tsp
chilli powder 1 tsp
smoked paprika 1 tsp
garlic powder 1 tsp
onion powder 1 tsp

Directions

  • Cut halloumi into chunky fries

  • Mix the coating then coat the fries tapping off excess flour

  • Combine ketchup ingredient and simmer for 15 mins then sieve and let cool

  • Heat vegetable oil to 175c and fry the halloumi for 3 mins until golden and crispy

  • Serve halloumi with spiced ketchup
